Introduction

Islamic Azad University, Mahshar branch established on 30 June 1989 in a place dedicated by petrochemical companies inMahshahr with the help of benevolent collaboration of National Petrochemical Company,Mahshar's governorship, and Friday prayer leader has commenced its official activity in academic years 1990-1991 with the first intake of 120students in chemical engineering orientation of petrochemical industries. The university currently houses two faculties of chemical engineering and Electrical and Computer engineering,25 laboratory spaces(including educational and research laboratories),8 workshop spaces, a library with 70000 copies of booksequipped with 2 study halls for men and women separately in 250 square meters each,40 external research projects, 103 full-time academic members ,and 169 administrative staffs.The university currently has 15 associate degree programs, 26 bachelor degree programs, 32 master degree programs and 5 doctoral programs. law, industrial management, psychology,physical education, primary education, and photography. Graphics, central heating and air conditioning, manufacturing, refrigeration,civil engineering, English language teaching and telecommunication technicianshave been added to the list of majors of Islamic Azad University, Mahshahr branch in 2021.
