Islamic Azad University, Shahr-e Babak Branch was established in 1990 in a rented place and started its activities in 1992 by accepting one hundred students in the fields of nursing and human geography.

The result of 31 years of honorable efforts in the sacred valley of science and culture, which has borne fruit in the shadow of God's grace and the appreciable trust of our dear compatriots:

48 fields of study including: 6 master's fields, 24 bachelor's fields and 18 associate fields

60 members of the Young Researchers Club are more than 200 research projects and articles and more than 10,000 are graduates.

Educational and research facilities include: 16 workshops and laboratories, a library with 30,000 books, a visual audio room and a computer workshop equipped with systems connected to the Internet at a suitable speed and educational farms and agricultural production.

Cultural and welfare facilities include: Islamic Culture Office and Quran and Atrat Center, counseling center, mosque, dormitories, self-service, outdoor and indoor sports fields, which has a total of 24,000 square meters of space on a 60-hectare land.
