Islamic Azad University, Varamin-Pishva Branch, was inaugurated on the 28th of July, 1985, through the efforts and support of the authorities at the time, with the least facilities. Fortunately, despite the deficiencies and difficulties, it has taken significant steps in progress over the past 30 years with the efforts of the professors, students, and university staff. Currently, this branch consists of five faculties: Agriculture, Midwifery and Nursing, Literature and Humanities, Basic Sciences, and Biological Sciences, offering over 150 academic fields at the levels of associate, bachelor's, master's, and doctorate, accommodating more than 15,000 students from across the country.

With 350 employees, 650 faculty members, and 150 hectares of educational and research spaces, the Varamin-Pishva Branch has been recognized as one of the top university branches in the country. It is hoped that with reliance on the Almighty and the sincere efforts of the colleagues and active deputies of this university, and with the supervision of the esteemed presidency of the branch and the support of the authorities of the region, we will witness the continuation of the successes of this comprehensive university branch in the near future.
