Quchan Islamic Azad University has had more than 30,000 graduates in various levels of education since 1368 as a cultural and educational hub in the northeast of the country and a 14-hectare complex containing more than 50,000 square meters of academic, administrative, sports, and cultural infrastructure. It has trained in managerial and expert positions in the country.

This university has 85 members of the academic staff, including assistant professors, associate professors, and full professors, and about 100 lecturers in three faculties, including technical and engineering, humanities, nursing, and midwifery.

This academic unit has complete educational and research facilities, including 36 laboratories, five research laboratories, eight educational workshops, and a library equipped with 66,817 volumes of Persian books and 15,066 volumes of Latin books. It also has about 9,300 square meters under the building of the Sisters and Brothers' student dormitory complex, self-service space and student buffet, 2,500 square meters of mosque and cultural space, over 10,000 square meters of sports space including a main hall and four sub-halls, a conference hall with a capacity of 450 people, a seminar hall with a capacity of 150 people, the site computer and about 8000 square meters of office space
