Tabriz Islamic Azad University of Medical Sciences was established in October 2021 as one of the prominent and prestigious units in the field of medical sciences in the country. This university was completely separated from the Islamic Azad University of Tabriz branch and operated as an educational and research unit in the field of recruiting students in specific fields of medical sciences. As one of the leading universities in the field of medical sciences in the country, Tabriz Islamic Azad University of Medical Sciences has been able to obtain biennial approval from the supervision board of the Ministry of Health for the field of medicine. Also, Imam Sajjad (A.S.) the hospital, which is affiliated with this university, has achieved the first degree of hospital accreditation. Tabriz Islamic Azad University of Medical Sciences has established 4 active research centers with very high scientific and research potential and with the use of experienced professors. These centers include health promotion, reproductive and maternal mental health, infectious diseases, and neuroscience and psychology. With its excellent scientific and research environment, this university unit has been able to win many medals in the fields of scientific thinking in basic sciences, medical education, and clinical reasoning, with its active participation in the scientific Olympiad of medical science students of the Ministry of Health.
