Islamic Azad University, Malayer branch, is one of the oldest units of Islamic Azad University, which was established in 1988 in Malayer city and was able to be upgraded to a very large university. This academic unit has 74 courses in associate, bachelor, master and two doctoral courses. With humanities, technical and engineering faculties, Malayer branch has also established a faculty of medical sciences by recruiting students in nursing and operating room fields in 2016. Currently, the head of the Malayer unit is Dr. Sattar Ebrahimi.
