Islamic Azad University is Shahrekord branch in Shahrekord city, located in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province. This unit was established on the first day of May 1362 and started its scientific-educational activity in 1364 by accepting 570 students in associate and bachelor degrees. Currently, Shahrekord branch of Azad University is known as a comprehensive university and one of the largest and oldest universities in the province, which has 120 educational fields in associate, bachelor, master and doctorate degrees. Shahrekord branch has a special place in the Islamic Azad University complex and also in the higher education complex of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province with the benefit of administrative, educational, research and welfare facilities and spaces. Currently, this center includes 9 faculties, laboratory complex, workshop, research farm, cattle ranch and has five research centers. where more than 8900 students are studying and 159 faculty members are working there.
