Islamic Azad University, Kazerun Branch, is one of the most experienced universities located in the south of the country, Iran, and was founded in 1985.

After 3 decades, this university has 145 faculty members and 3900 students, with 99 different fields of study in various degrees including Bachelor (B.A., B.S.), Master (M.A., M.S.), Ph.D., and Professional Doctorates; about 41 fields are in postgraduate, doctoral and professional doctoral programs.

There are 6 independent and approved faculties including medicine, veterinary and agriculture, humanities, nursing and midwifery, technical, engineering and basic sciences.

In addition, Sama schools of Kazerun branch, taking advantages of experienced teachers and the best facilities, are offering scientific, educational and cultural programs.

Also, Imam Ali (P.B.U.H) 96-bed teaching hospital of this branch, built to provide medical students with research and educational services, is being opened.

Moreover, the clinic of Veterinary Faculty as well as dozens of modern and advanced workshops and laboratories in this university are being set up, all of which meet the necessary standards for educating committed and competent students. This indicates the special attention university officials pay to enhance the scientific and educational quantity and quality of this outstanding university.

Due to various activities related to holding free-thinking chairs and numerous cultural workshops on a variety of topics of the day, the cultural domain in the university has obtained the highest provincial and even national ranks for consecutive years.

The university has also provided the students with Imam Ali Sports Complex, along with multi-purpose halls and two rich libraries encompassing Persian and English books, and two separate study halls for male and female students.
