Having spread over an area of 150 square meters and covering an educational space of about 150 thousand square meters, Islamic Azad University of Marvdasht Branch consists of about 5 thousand students, with 200 different majors of study at doctoral (30), masters (85), and undergraduate (14) levels. The university comprises 208 faculty members and 248 clerks which counts for being a comprehensive university, having ranked 72nd in the international ranking of Scimago among all universities and institutes of higher education across the country, 17th in the latest Islamic World Science Citation Database (ISC), and 1st in the research and knowledge creation among the south Islamic Azad universities and one of the largest units in the southern part of the country.
