The Islamic Azad University of Zarghan was established by the people and officials of the city of Zarghan in 1378 and received the necessary permits from the Central Organization of the Azad University. Zarghan branch is the closest university unit to the center of the province. This university unit has attracted students since 1980 and operated as a center under the auspices of Marvdasht branch until 1984. Due to the facilities and the number of students, it was announced by the central organization in 1984 as an independent university unit. And has 13 majors in associate degree, 23 bachelor's degree and 10 master's degree. It has very good and desirable laboratory and workshop facilities.
