The Islamic Azad University of Miandoab Branch was established in 2000 with 2 educational fields and 35 students in a rented building. And with the efforts of the esteemed officials, now with 1400 students, a land with an area of 5 hectares, 10,000 square meters of educational space, a library with 12000 books, three laboratories of electrical and civil engineering and plant physiology, 2 computer workshops, 59 fields of study in associate and bachelor degrees and the master continues his work. Miandoab branch is an intermediate branch and has 58 full-time faculty members with doctoral degrees or doctoral students.
